What a conchologists dream.....so many beautiful shells to collect.As the name suggests it is 80 miles of beautiful beach lined with shells.It used to be a very shady spot but was ruined in the cyclone Dec 2009 so the trees are just starting to sprout again now.What a wonderful place to rest & relax...and collect shells shells & more shells much to Shanes disgust

What an amazing experience- we so enjoyed our sunset trek.We went with the Ships of the Desert ,the Black & Gold Camels.There are 3 companies that are permitted to do the treks on CableBeach Red, Blue & ours.They are each allowed 16 camels each maximum,some of our camels are famous movie stars that appeared in the film Australia.
