We left very early in the morning to drive to Point Peron a very sandy 4WD track ,very tricky in places but we had a wonderful day.It took us nearly 3 hrs to reach the point ,as the track is inland it is quite boring ,though there is the rare lizard or bird. We saw these funny little crabs all over the beach,they were quite big & funny creatures to watch,there were also masses of cormorants,100's of them all lined along the beach like soldiers,as you walked towards them they walked really quickly into the water still in formation then swam off - amazing to see.There was also some large sea birds similar to an albatross
