Norseman is a historical gold mining town and WA 's gateway to the Nullabor.Legend says that in the 1890's Laurie Sinclair tethered his horse 'Hardy Norseman' to a tree overnight,by morning the horse had unearthed a gold bearing quartz! What luck!Over 5 million ounces of gold has been taken out of Norseman-the second richest goldfield in WA.
