Batchelor to Pine Creek

Pinecreek is a small little town that is often full of tourists(bus loads) passing through to Kakadu or on their way to Darwin-not much there and what is there is not open on weekends!Work that one out!

We are staying at Pussy Cat Flats, the Turf Club 2km out of town, a great little spot- quiet and peaceful no strict rules and regulations ,a wonderful spot to stay , only$17 per night

Sunday 18th July

Drove into the beginning of Kakadu National Park,got our pass -$25 per person for 14 days, I bought a lovely seed necklace just brought in by the ladies from Arnhem land,very simple but I love it.Spoke to a lovely guy there- his family is traditonal aboriginal and he told us of the Rock Hole a lovely little place not sign posted 6 kms into the park.We love getting to find places that 'tourists' don't know about,we drive in and find it,it is a gorgeous little spot but too late for swimming

A whole day in Kakadu National Park ,we are so glad that we did it,we had such a wonderful day
